A major figure in contemporary percussion, Evelyn Glennie was the first musician to build a full-time solo career. Collaborating with leading orchestras, she commissioned over 200 works and developed a unique musical language, forged through constant research into sound and vibration.
During this meeting, she will share her vision of listening—a physical and sensory experience—and her approach to exploring timbres and resonances drawn from her collection of instruments from around the world. An immersion into the journey of an artist for whom listening is an expanded experience, far beyond the audible alone.
