Through workshops, engagement programmes and partnerships, The Evelyn Glennie Foundation, whose mission is to “Teach the World to Listen”, reaches diverse audiences, promoting inclusive, intentional listening.

In doing so, it drives cultural impact, challenges barriers, and fosters deeper connection and understanding.

The Evelyn Glennie Collection

The Evelyn Glennie Collection is a unique archive documenting Evelyn’s pioneering career.

It serves as a valuable cultural and educational resource, supporting research, learning, and creative development.

As the Foundation’s primary intellectual asset, The Collection underpins strategic activity and programme delivery. Ongoing digitisation aims to expand global access and enable future collaboration and innovation.

Evelyn believes education has the power to broaden horizons, unlock potential, and inspire lasting confidence in young people. Drawing on her work across literature, film, theatre, and inclusive education, she champions learning that nurtures imagination, empathy, resilience, and a sense of possibility.

Her internationally recognised projects including the illustrated book Listen, the award-winning film Touch the Sound, Playing from the Heart and the Beehive education book have engaged audiences worldwide. Through storytelling and collaboration, Evelyn encourages young people to see the world from new perspectives, value diversity, express themselves with confidence, and realise that there are many different paths to fulfilment.
