Symphonic Experience

Get ready to FEEL the music! World-renowned percussionist and 2015 Polar Music Prize Winner Dame Evelyn Glennie, Detroit Hip Hop artist Sean Forbes, and Jazz and Pop singer Mandy Harvey, who all happen to be deaf, will come together for a one of a kind musical collaboration with the DSO.

Featuring the Motor City’s most celebrated hits arranged by Detroit composer Jake Bass, as well as original compositions. Live vocal performances, including American Sign Language and lyric visuals, accompanied by the DSO will create an evening enjoyable to all. The performance will be conducted by Grammy Award Winner Sly5thAvewith select material arranged by Motown legend Paul Riser.

Proceeds benefit D-PAN: Deaf Professional Arts Network which has been making music accessible to everyone since 2006.
