“These are my extremely hard, sharp mallets. I use them  on the mid to high end of the marimba, xylophone, vibraphone and are also suitable for multi-percussion playing. They will absolutely cut through anything. I love them for their ‘no nonsense’ sound but yet fullness is achieved. Although they are extremely sharp, I always get the pitch coming through. The sizeable cone-shaped head allows plenty of experimentation with sound colour; that is  something you can do with all of my mallet range. Due to the length of the shaft I can get right on my tip-toes to experiment with where I hold the mallets – the length of shaft will allow you to quickly get back into the home position. “

“These drum sticks are very versatile indeed. I like this slightly chubbier stick to support with the small beaded tip. With this combination an awful lot of sound colours can be achieved. I can get a lot of different rim shots using the shoulder of the stick all the way through to the butt end. These sticks are easy to negotiate, so even if I’m playing one drum or a multitude of drums they’re not so heavy in order to drag you down – but yet there is enough weight to feel the stick drop naturally onto the surface. They’re very adaptable and capable of huge dynamics – excellent for orchestral playing, solo, jazz or hard rock drumming!”

Promark EG5 keyboard mallets are cotton-cord wrapped for pronounced attack and articulation. The EG5 has a hard articulation for maximum attack, which is well suited to fast, linear passages. Each mallet features an unfinished birch handle for increased comfort and a slip-resistant feel.

“These drum sticks are light in weight with a small bead thus especially suitable for orchestral, jazz and other more delicate playing.  I use these quite a lot especially if playing on cymbals, ethnic drums or auxiliary instruments. However, I can get a good breadth of sound too. They’re so light and versatile that you can use the butt end as the main striking area. Due to its small bead soft playing can be incredibly soft and distance but also projecting clarity and precision.”
