Composer

Evelyn writes music for film, TV, radio, library companies and live performances.  She also enjoys improvised performances.

She has worked on a number of Lynda La Plante's 'Trial and Retribution' dramas, collaborated with diverse composers such as DJ MJ Cole, David Motion, Ray Davies from the Kinks, Steve Hackett and has worked with Fred Frith to provide the sound track to "Touch the Sound" - a film featuring Evelyn on the nature of sound.  A recent CD for EMI/KPM was released in 2011 whereby all compositions were co-composed with Philip Shepperd.

Other projects have included composing the music for the car manufacturer Mazda, which was subsequently paraphrased by comedians due to its unusualness, she has composed songs with the vocalist Bjork, created a totally improvised solo percussion CD "Shadow Behind the Iron Sun" in collaboration with the producer/mixer Michael Brauer which has also led to totally improvised live shows, not to mention compositions for solo marimba, a huge list of arrangements and transcriptions for solo percussion and educational books for classroom use, published by Faber Music, called "Beat it!".  In 2011 she co-wrote the music for the film "Golf in the Kingdom" released in the USA.

Naxos books released "The instruments of the Orchestra" featuring Evelyn as the guide.

Ongoing work includes collaborations with the music library companies Audio Network and EMI/KPM, which has a multitude of pieces by Evelyn, a live performance score for dance choreaographer Marc Brew Productions and music in connection with visual artists as well as several concert pieces for 2011.
